Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Diet

What is the GAPS Diet ?

Our digestive system holds the roots of our health. Most neurological, immune, and digestive conditions stem from a gut that is underperforming, undernourished, and overwhelmed with inflammation.

Pioneered by neurologist Dr. Campbell-McBride in 2004, the GAPS Diet (Gut and Psychology Syndrome Diet) reduces foods that have a tendency to feed pathogenic gut microbes and cause inflammation, and highlights foods that are easy to digest and nourish not only our human cells, but also the trillions of gut microbes that are the key to our health.

After seeing the profound cognitive and digestive differences the GAPS Diet made for my own son back in 2009, I attended the very first in-person GAPS Practitioner training taught by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride in 2011. Since then, the GAPS Diet is the foundational solution that I use most commonly with my clients to improve symptoms and root cause issues, because it is what I see provide the best outcomes. However, there are as many variations and adaptations to this foundation, as there are individuals.

There is no "one size fits all" strategy because everyone is biochemically unique, and everyone has different time, lifestyle, and dietary requirements. We start where you are ready to start.
